Why do you need wedding signage?

Details, Details, Details!

Wedding planning can be…..overwhelming, am I right? There are so many small little things that you never thought you needed to have for your big day. How are you going to make sure everyone knows where to sit? Are you having an open or cash bar? Is the ceremony in one place and the reception in a completely different location? So. Many. Decisions.

That’s where signage can help you! Having assigned seating? A seating chart or even escort cards will easily tell your guests where to sit. Want to display your signature cocktails and show off your personality? You definitely need a bar sign. Trying to make the most of your time at your venue? Get yourself an Order of Events sign to display the times and places of all the nights events so your guests don’t miss a second.

An added bonus of wedding signage? If you have the right sign maker (ahem…🙋🏻‍♀️) you can make sure these signs are able to be used in your home afterwards. A welcome sign makes such a great entry piece. If you decided on a signature cocktail sign, they look great on your bar cart or your entertainment area. The list can go on forever, but you get the point. You already want to remember every second of your wedding day so why not have these keepsakes to help with that?!

One thing I hear quite a bit from planners and coordinators is that they have brides who decide against signage when going through planning. Then, the few days before wedding day when everything starts getting set up and put together, guess what the one thing that bride wishes she had to pull everything together? That’s right - signage! You will need something to direct your guests and inform them of all the things they have to look forward to for the evening. When you hire a calligrapher and sign maker to create these pieces for you (instead of buying mass produced signs from craft and decor stores), you get the added bonus of being able to incorporate all of the other details of your wedding for a cohesive look. Custom signage and calligraphy can incorporate similar typography or quotes from your invitation suites, your custom made monogram, the colors from your wedding bouquet painted onto the back of your acrylic welcome sign, and so much more.
