City girl, turned country girl, turned wedding calligrapher
As you can probably guess by my business name - I’m a Texas girl born and raised. Yeehaw. I grew up in Frisco (before it was FRISCO, the growth started during my high school years actually) and then attended college in Lubbock - wreck ‘em! There is where I met the love of my life and we decided to make our home back in North Texas. It’s truly the story of country boy meets city girl and then convinces her to become a country girl 😆. We have two kids - a girl and a boy - and they definitely keep us entertained.
The kids are actually how all of this came about! I left my 9-5 job (auto finance if you can believe that) right before our little dude came along and was looking for something to do as a creative outlet for my sanity. If you’re a stay-at-home mom, you get me. I picked up a lettering hobby in 2016 and never looked back! I booked my first wedding in 2017 and I was hooked. There really is nothing like seeing couples so in love and ready to start their life together. In fact, my favorite part of being in the wedding industry is getting to hear your love stories! They’re all so different and so beautiful. One thing I always tell my couples is that if there was one thing I could go back and redo for my own wedding, it would be adding calligraphy and signage. It just wasn’t really a thing back in 2014 like it is now.
Some more about me: I am addicted to coffee and I don’t plan on changing that any time soon. I love true crime (along with, like, every other woman my age) and watch way too many documentaries. I sing along to the radio in the car and in public and if you invite me to karaoke I WILL stay on the mic. To answer your next question, no, I’m not a phenomenal singer or anything.
